Initiatives We Have Funded:

It is common for officers to have to pay for their own bulletproof vests in many municipalities- often at great expense. We want to protect our officers from that burden going forward so they will be able to replace their vests BEFORE they expire.

We were able to send one officer to this rigorous 20 week program though Northwestern University. He was able to get world class training on topics such as decision making, leadership and management, planning and policies, budgeting and contemporary policing strategies.

The Foundation was able to purchase a bulletproof vest and safety training to the volunteer chaplain, who provides invaluable emotional and mental health to our officers who often face realities in their day to day line of work that many of us could only imagine.

Staff training lunches are a proven way to boost morale through a simple show of community support.

We were able to fund a program that allows officers access to mental health services.
